We’re supporting a leading education provider in Newcastle who are looking to appoint a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who wants to move into teaching, training, or mentoring the next generation of engineers.

The organisation is open to candidates without prior teaching experience — full support and training can be provided.

The Role

You will deliver high‑quality teaching across:

• Level 2 & Level 3 Engineering programmes
• Apprenticeships
• Potential HE delivery (depending on qualifications and experience)

This is a hands‑on role ideal for someone who enjoys developing others and sharing practical industry knowledge.

Essential:

• Strong practical industry experience in one or more of the following:
• Mechanical Engineering
• Manufacturing Engineering
• Maintenance Engineering
• Production Engineering
• CNC / Machining
• Fabrication & Welding
• Multi‑skilled Engineering
• Apprenticeship / Workshop Supervision
• Engineering Training / Mentoring
• A passion for developing learners and passing on industry skills
• Right to work in the UK

Preferred:

• HNC/HND in a relevant engineering discipline
• Teaching qualification (desirable but not essential)
• Full support can be provided for candidates transitioning from industry
