Live In Carer

Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Live in Carer to provide high-quality, person-centred care for a 21 year old female client with Tourette's and OCD, working 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off on a rolling rota ongoing.

Due to the nature of the role, which includes providing personal and intimate care, this position is open to female applicants only. This is in accordance with the Equality Act 2010, Schedule 9, Part 1, relating to genuine occupational requirements.

Duties

• Support with medication administration and health monitoring in accordance with care plans
• Prepare nutritious meals tailored to dietary requirements and preferences
• Engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental and emotional wellbeing
• Drive clients to appointments or social activities as required (driving skills essential)
• Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in health status
• Offer companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness or isolation

Qualifications

• Proven experience in assisted living, home care, or nursing home environments
• Knowledge of patient care, Tourette's and OCD
• Relevant qualifications such as first aid certification and caregiving training are desirable
• Strong organisational skills with attention to detail in medication management and record keeping
• Excellent communication skills and a caring demeanour
• Valid driving licence for client transportation purposes
• Flexibility to work full-time hours within a live-in setting; adaptability is key working 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off on a rolling rota ongoing.
