Location: Redditch (Office-based)

Shift Pattern: 4 on / 4 off (Days)

The Opportunity

SourceCo Recruitment are currnetly working with a well established and fast paced logistical business, who are currently looking to add a Logistics Coordinator to their time critical team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with experience in transport or freight forwarding who thrives in a high pressure, solutions driven environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing customer enquiries and orders via phone and email
  • Planning, booking, and tracking UK & European shipments
  • Providing transport solutions across road and airfreight
  • Handling time critical and line stoppage situations
  • Sourcing and liaising with suppliers and carriers
  • Producing accurate quotations and job updates
  • Ensuring all jobs are completed, cost effective, and profitable
  • Closing jobs, obtaining PODs, and maintaining accurate records
  • Working closely with operations, warehouse, and accounts teams
  • Monitoring KPIs and maintaining system accuracy

Working Hours

  • 4 on / 4 off shift pattern (including weekends)
  • 06:00 – 18:00 (12-hour shifts)
  • Average 44 hours per week

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience within transport, logistics, or freight forwarding
  • Strong knowledge of European transport planning
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Highly organised with strong attention to detail
  • Confident using systems, MS Office, and databases
  • A proactive, “can-do” attitude

Desirable:

  • CPC qualification
  • Additional language skills

About the Role

This is a fast paced, time critical environment where no two days are the same. You’ll be responsible for ensuring goods move from A to B as efficiently as possible, often under tight deadlines. Success in this role requires strong organisation, clear communication, and the ability to stay calm under pressure
