As Logistics Manager you will be a key part of the Site Management team, ensuring the smooth running of the site.
The Role:
- Managing all site logistics operations, ensuring safe, efficient movement of labour, materials, plant and deliveries across the project
- Developing and implementing site logistics plans, including access routes, traffic management, storage areas and welfare arrangements
- Coordinating deliveries and waste management, ensuring materials arrive on time and site remains organised and compliant
- Managing gate staff, traffic marshals and logistics operatives, ensuring effective control of site access and daily operations
- Liaising with subcontractors, suppliers and project teams, coordinating delivery schedules and resolving logistical constraints
- Ensuring compliance with health, safety and environmental standards, including pedestrian segregation, lifting operations and emergency access
- Monitoring site housekeeping and presentation, maintaining clean, safe and professional working areas
- Supporting programme delivery, ensuring logistics activities align with construction sequencing and project milestones
- Maintaining records and reporting, including delivery logs, incidents, permits and utilisation data
- Identifying and mitigating site risks, particularly around congestion, access restrictions and interface management
- Proven experience in logistics management on major construction projects, ideally with a main contractor or developer
- Strong understanding of site operations, traffic management and material flow within busy live construction environments
- Experience managing logistics teams and subcontractors, driving safety, coordination and productivity
- Good knowledge of HSEQ requirements, including lifting operations, access control and safe site practices
