The Opportunity

We are looking for a reliable and hands-on Maintenance Assistant to join a growing property maintenance team in Surrey.

This role offers a varied workload across residential properties, ideal for someone with a multi-skilled background who enjoys practical work and takes pride in delivering high standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out general maintenance including carpentry, tiling, and basic repairs
• Repair and maintain doors, windows, and locking systems
• Install and repair guttering and drainage systems
• Complete basic plumbing works
• Source materials from local suppliers when required
• Oversee contractors on site and ensure quality standards are met
• Support the wider maintenance team and cover where required
• Participate in an on-call rota and occasional night work during client occupation
• Ensure all work is completed in line with health & safety regulations

Requirements

• Proven experience in a similar maintenance or handyman role
• Multi-skilled background (carpentry, plastering, tiling, or similar)
• Competent using hand tools and completing practical tasks
• Basic understanding of Building Regulations
• Full UK driving licence
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions
