How Maths Is Taught Here
- Lessons are structured. Language is precise. Students are taught modelling, reasoning, and independent problem‑solving explicitly.
- You will:
- Teach Maths primarily at KS4
- Break down complex concepts systematically
- Reinforce key methods and mathematical language
- Support students with exam technique and confidence
- Expectations are clear for both staff and students.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver KS4 Maths lessons aligned with GCSE specifications
- Plan lessons that build competence and independence
- Identify gaps in understanding and address them directly
- Use assessment data to inform teaching and intervention
- Maintain consistent classroom routines
- Promote resilience and logical thinking
- Work collaboratively within the Maths department
