Based within a busy secondary processing and cutting plant in Stevenage, this role is ideal for someone with strong knife skills who enjoys working in a fast-paced, hands-on production environment.

The business is currently in a significant growth phase, with ambitious expansion plans, making this an excellent opportunity for someone looking for long-term stability and progression.

Working hours
  • Monday, Thursday, Friday
  • 05:00 – 15:00
  • Potential Saturday morning overtime depending on workload
 

Your responsibilities as a Meat Cutter
  • Strip joints and prepare primal cuts
  • Cut steaks to specification
  • Prepare chicken and other meat products
  • Work accurately to production targets and customer specifications
  • Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness
 

What we’re looking for in a Meat Cutter
  • Previous experience within a meat cutting, butchery or processing environment
  • Good knife skills and manual dexterity
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable with early starts
  • Strong attention to quality, hygiene, and consistency
  • Physically fit and comfortable in a demanding production environment
  • Willingness to learn and develop site-specific skills and processes

This long-established family business supplies approximately 90% of its products to catering customers including schools and care homes, alongside a successful retail butchery shop. With turnover growth plans from £4m to £10m, the company is continuing to invest in both people and operations.
