Responsibilities and Duties:
- Onsite and inhouse maintenance to rotating equipment such pumps, compressors, gearboxes and mixers. Inclusive of fault finding and reporting, condition assessments and generation of engineering recommendations/full repair work scope.
- Onsite and inhouse maintenance and testing of valves (isolation, pressure, safety and thermal), pipework, hoses and ancillary equipment.
- Competent in the use of measuring equipment such as micrometers, DTI’s, and laser alignment tools.
- To communicate on a technical level both verbally and written to peers and customers.
- Work alone to identify and resolve faults and concerns on mechanical systems without receiving explicit direction.
- When required, assist and lead planned projects and outages as directed by peers.
- Effectively manage work schedule.
About you
- Mechanical time-served to ONC & HNC, NVQ 3, or equivalent qualifications.
- A full driving license, preferably clean.
- Self-motivated, capable of working in a team and individually.
- Good communication skills both written and verbal.
- Fault finding, repair, installation and commissioning experience.
- Good customer service skills.
- Have a flexible and positive approach to work.
- Prior oil & gas knowledge is beneficial or equivalent engineering experience power generation or heavy industry.
Pay and Benefits:
- A competitive salary of £52,000 to £62,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
- 25 days Annual holidays + statutory/ bank holidays.
- 40-hour week during normal office hours Monday – Friday (08:00hrs - 16:00hrs)
