Due to the continued expansion of the business, we have an excellent immediate opportunity for a self-motivated, dedicated Mechanical Fitter to join their modern manufacturing facility in the assembly and testing department.

The successful Mechanical Fitter will be working on a wide range of components to large, complicated chassis and frame works and self-propelled vehicles.

About the role:

• You will play a crucial role in the assembly of self-propelled vehicles, including mechanical assembly of vehicle and chassis components, along with the installation of hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
• Knowledge of diesel engines and hydrostatic transmissions is desirable.
• Using hand, power and air tools with ease and confidence.
• Testing complete machines ensuring correct functionality and a high level of quality.
• Adapting to varying machine specifications and customer requirements.
• Previous assembly or mechanical experience is required, although company specific on-the-job training will be provided. Electrical knowledge preferred.
• Specialist tools are supplied however it is expected the candidate provide their own basic tool kit of spanners and screw drivers etc.

The hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am – 4.30pm
