We are currently seeking an experienced Mechanical Supervisor to support a major nuclear outage project in the UAE.

This is an excellent opportunity for a highly skilled mechanical professional with proven nuclear outage experience to join a critical maintenance team within a world-class nuclear power generation environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate mechanical maintenance, inspection, testing, and outage activities.
  • Lead and manage teams of mechanical technicians and craft personnel to ensure work is completed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project schedules.
  • Ensure compliance with nuclear safety standards, procedures, and quality requirements.
  • Monitor work execution and provide technical guidance and support to site personnel.
  • Support outage planning, execution, and reporting activities.
  • Liaise with client representatives, project management, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Identify and resolve technical issues while maintaining the highest standards of safety and quality.
  • Promote a strong safety culture and ensure all work is performed in accordance with site procedures and regulatory requirements.

Essential Requirements

  • Previous outage experience within an operational Nuclear Power Plant environment.
  • Proven experience in a Mechanical Supervisor role leading maintenance or outage teams.
  • Strong technical expertise in mechanical maintenance, inspection, troubleshooting, and repair activities.
  • Experience working on nuclear primary-side systems and equipment.
  • Knowledge and experience of:
    • Feedwater (FW) Systems
    • Cooling Water (CW) Systems
    • Reactor Coolant Systems (RCS)
    • Air Operated Valves (AOV)
    • Motor Operated Valves (MOV)
  • Strong understanding of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, valves, pumps, and associated plant equipment within a nuclear environment.
  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Demonstrated leadership, team management, and supervisory capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of nuclear safety, quality, and compliance requirements.

Working Conditions

  • 8 hours per day, 6 days per week.
  • Pre-outage working schedule of approximately 40–48 hours per week, depending on project requirements.
  • Outage periods may require increased working hours, with overtime available where applicable.
  • Accommodation, meals, and transportation provided on site.
  • Single occupancy accommodation provided.

Contract Details

  • Assignment duration of approximately 3–4 months.
  • Potential for extension based on project requirements and performance.
  • Mobilisation anticipated from August 2026.
