Mechanical Technician

Mechanical Technician | Day Shift | Monday - Friday 

Up to just under £45k plus overtime 

Jackson Hogg are delighted to be supporting their longstanding client with the appointment of a Mechanical Maintenance Technician to join them on a permanent basis. 

You will be working as part of a problem-solving engineering team who are repsonsible for the preventative maintenance, inspection, fault-finding and repair of cranes & mobile plant assets. 

You will be required to respond to breakdowns and failures using problem solving techniques to return equipment back into service with minimum delay. The ideal candidate will have experience in the maintenance of mobile plant and equipment such as Reach stackers, loading shovels, forklifts and shunting units; used in a busy dock operation. Additionally, knowledge of Hydraulics and Pneumatics, Electrical Systems would be an advantage.

Skills Required

•  5+ years of experience working within heavy industry in a similar role 
• HNC qualified or time served 
• Previous experience within a maintenance position is essential
