We are currently recruiting for an experienced Neighbourhood Service Manager to join a leading social housing provider on an interim basis.
This is a senior leadership role overseeing a large and busy housing management service covering approximately 16,000 homes.
The successful candidate will play a key role in stabilising services, driving performance, and supporting frontline teams to deliver excellent neighbourhood management services.
Additional support and onboarding will be provided by the Head of Neighbourhood Services to ensure a smooth transition into the role.
The Role
You will lead multiple operational housing teams, ensuring high standards of tenancy and neighbourhood management across a large housing portfolio.
Key responsibilities include:
• Leading and managing a large operational housing management service
• Driving performance across neighbourhood management functions
• Overseeing anti-social behaviour case management and service delivery
• Managing neighbourhood inspections and estate management programmes
• Ensuring compliance with policies, procedures and service standards
• Supporting service improvement initiatives and operational transformation
• Managing performance, coaching and development of frontline management teams
• Working closely with senior leadership to improve customer outcomes
Team Management ResponsibilityDirect management responsibility for:
• 5 Neighbourhood Team Leaders
• 31.5 FTE Neighbourhood Officers
• 5 Safer Neighbourhood Officers
• 4 Neighbourhood Assistants
About You
We are looking for candidates who have:
• Extensive housing management experience within social housing
• Previous experience managing large operational housing teams
• Strong knowledge of anti-social behaviour and neighbourhood management
• Proven experience driving performance and service improvement
• Excellent leadership, coaching and people management skills
• The ability to quickly assess challenges and implement solutions in a fast-paced environment
Essential Requirements:
• Must live within a commutable distance of Coventry
• Able to attend the office 2-3 days per week
• Available to start at short notice
