We are looking for a highly organised and proactive Office Manager to support our team and ensure the smooth day-to-day running of our office.
As Office Manager, you will be at the heart of our operations keeping everything running efficiently and supporting both staff and leadership. This is a varied, hands-on role ideal for someone who enjoys organisation, problem-solving, and working across multiple areas of a business.
We are a small but fast-growing environmental consultancy that specialises in water. We value the environment and want to employ someone for whom this is important. We work hard and play hard and like to share a joke – a GSOH is important.
The successful candidate will ideally work 5 days a week, 3-5 hours per day at our Howle Business Park office (TF10 8AY) and will therefore need to have a full driving licence.
Main duties of the role will include:
- Oversee office systems, procedures, and administrative processes
- Coordinate supplies, equipment, and office facilities
- Liaise with suppliers, contractors, and service providers
- Support HR processes, including onboarding and staff coordination
- Manage office budgets and track expenses
- Organise meetings, events, and internal communications
- Ensure health & safety and compliance standards are met
- Responding to emails and redirecting where appropriate
Support to Directors and staff
- Organising documents and maintaining records
- Ensuring emails and records of meetings are appropriately filed
- Arranging meetings and booking accommodation where needed
- Managing expense claims
- Compile and PDF reports
- Providing final edit (focusing on formatting rules, grammar and spelling) to reports and letter outputs
- Manage reporting and other output templates and “House style”
- Arrange annual review calendar/ meetings
We’re looking for someone who is:
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- A confident communicator across all levels
- Proactive and able to solve problems quickly
- Comfortable managing multiple tasks and priorities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office or Google Workspace
- Strong IT skills and the ability to learn new systems quickly
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Has previous experience within an Office Manager, Operations Coordinator, Office Administration, or similar role
