Contract Type: Temporary for 6 months initially with a view to being extended further
Location: West London
Hours: 25 hours per week Monday-Wednesday
Salary: £21.98 per hour (PAYE)

Our client, a dynamic charity organisation, is seeking an Operations Manager to oversee daily operations and help drive their mission forward. This temporary role is an excellent opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and has a genuine desire to support those in need.
As the Operations Manager, you will manage the day-to-day administration of the organisation, ensuring that operations run smoothly and in accordance with established procedures and controls. Your leadership will inspire volunteers and ensure that those in need receive the support they deserve.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with lead volunteers and remote teams to ensure adequate volunteer support for service delivery.
- Recruit, onboard, and train volunteers while maintaining accurate records and managing DBS checks as necessary.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with referral partners and ensure all referrals are logged.
- Respond to support inquiries and ensure food parcels are prepared to meet dietary needs.
- Record donations and ensure stock safety and accuracy through regular checks.
- Oversee purchasing of food and supplies in adherence to financial guidelines.
- Collaborate with the Council to ensure repairs and safety checks are conducted.
- Foster relationships with individual and corporate supporters, manage social media, and organise fundraising events.
- Ensure all activities align with health and safety policies and assist in assessing risks and maintaining a risk register.
- Maintain and improve operational policies and procedures.
What you will need to succeed
- Demonstrable experience of managing a large team of volunteers effectively.
- Previous experience of working in an operations focused or office management role would be beneficial.
- Previous experience of fundraising and developing corporate partnerships.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to develop key stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
- Ability to be organised and manage changing priorities.
- Competent in the use of Microsoft Office products including Word and Excel.
