Payroll and Finance Officer

I am working with a successful and growing Primary School Trust in North London that is looking to appoint an experienced Payroll and Finance Officer to join its central finance team.
In this role, I am seeking a candidate who can confidently manage payroll and pension administration across our schools while supporting the day-to-day financial operations of the Trust.
Key Responsibilities:
- Processing monthly payroll and pension submissions accurately and on time.
- Working closely with HR teams to maintain accurate employee and contractual records.
- Ensuring statutory payroll deductions are correctly applied and compliant with legislation.
- Administering pension enrolment, contributions, and returns.
- Responding to payroll and pension queries from staff in a professional and timely manner.
- Reconciling payroll data and producing reports as required.
- Supporting finance operations, including purchase ledger, sales ledger, and payment systems.

- Previous payroll experience is essential, ideally within an education setting.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
- The ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A proactive and positive approach to work.
