Job Title: Financial Controller

Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum (Negotiable)

Location: Berkshire / Surrey border (Flexible hybrid working available)

Role Overview

A growing care provider seeks an experienced Financial Controller to manage day to day financial operations and support strategic business growth. The successful candidate will oversee financial controls, compliance, and a small administrative team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end to end monthly payroll, pensions, and staff expenses in line with UK employment law.

  • Oversee accurate client invoicing, private billing, and supplier payments.

  • Maintain robust financial controls, cash flow monitoring, budgeting, and forecasting.

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts and financial reports.

  • Ensure full compliance with HMRC, Companies House, and sector regulatory financial standards.

  • Lead, motivate, and manage a small team of business administrators.

Requirements

  • Fully qualified ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent experience.

  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller, ideally within a service provision business.

  • Expert proficiency in Xero accounting software.

  • Strong understanding of UK payroll, VAT, and financial regulations.

  • Excellent analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
