Our client, an organisation within the manufacturing sector, is seeking a Payroll Clerk to join their finance function. This role plays a key part in ensuring accurate and timely payroll processing for a busy, fast-paced workforce.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong payroll experience who enjoys working with detail, deadlines, and cross-functional teams.
What you’ll do
- Process end-to-end payroll on a weekly and/or monthly basis
- Maintain accurate employee records, timesheets, and payroll data
- Manage HMRC submissions, RTI reporting, and statutory payments
- Administer pension contributions and auto-enrolment processes
- Handle payroll queries from employees and resolve discrepancies efficiently
You’ll work closely with HR and Finance teams to ensure payroll accuracy, compliance, and smooth operational delivery.
What we’re looking for
- Previous experience in a payroll or payroll support role
- Strong understanding of UK payroll legislation and HMRC requirements
- Experience with payroll systems (e.g. Sage, SAP, or similar)
- High attention to detail and strong numerical accuracy
- Ability to manage deadlines in a busy environment
