Payroll Officer 
Doncaster, South Yorkshire 

We are currently searching for a Payroll Officer to join a busy and supportive team. This role will take ownership of the end-to-end payroll process, ensuring employees are paid accurately while maintaining compliance and supporting benefits administration.

Key Responsibilities

  • Run the monthly payroll cycle, ensuring all employees are paid correctly and within deadlines
  • Update and maintain payroll information, including new starters, leavers, salary changes, and amendments
  • Ensure payroll processes follow current legislation, HMRC requirements, and company procedures
  • Support the administration of employee benefits such as pensions, healthcare schemes, and bonus payments
  • Work closely with external payroll and benefits providers where applicable
  • Handle employee queries relating to pay, deductions, and benefits in a timely manner
  • Produce payroll-related reports and assist with internal or external audits when required
  • Partner with Finance and HR to ensure payroll data is accurate and up to date


Skills & Experience Required

  • Previous experience processing payroll using Sage
  • Experience administering employee benefits schemes
  • Knowledge of pensions and auto-enrolment requirements
  • Good understanding of payroll legislation and compliance
  • Confident Excel skills
