The Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Plumbing and Heating Engineer (Gas) to carry out a range of heating and plumbing works across residential properties, schemes, and offices.
This role focuses on delivering high-quality repairs, servicing, and installations while ensuring full compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out gas and wet heating system repairs, breakdowns, servicing, and installations
- Undertake plumbing repairs and fault diagnosis
- Work in line with all health & safety legislation and Gas Safe regulations
- Collaborate with planners, service teams, managers, and contractors to resolve issues efficiently
- Achieve a strong first-time fix rate through effective van stock management and quality workmanship
- Participate in an optional on-call rota providing 24/7 emergency repair support
- Monitor personal performance and identify areas for improvement
- Carry out any additional duties appropriate to the role
- Complete jobs on time and within set targets
- Maintain all relevant gas and plumbing qualifications
- Achieve productivity targets (typically up to 8 jobs per day)
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a qualified Gas Engineer (flexible for the right candidate)
- Strong experience in heating systems and plumbing repairs
- Good understanding of health & safety and Gas Safe standards
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
