Prep Room Operative
Location: Downham Market, Norfolk
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour
Hours: Monday to Friday, starting at 7:00 AM or 8:00 AM until finish (typically 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM)

We are currently looking for a hardworking and reliable Prep Room Operative to join our team in Downham Market.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing fresh fruit and vegetables by peeling, slicing, trimming, and cutting produce to specification.
• Operating knives and commercial food preparation machinery safely and efficiently.
• Accurately weighing, packing, and preparing orders for distribution.
• Following HACCP procedures and maintaining excellent food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ensuring all work areas and equipment are kept clean and compliant with health and safety regulations.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet daily production targets.

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in food preparation or a similar production environment.
• Good knife skills and confidence using food preparation equipment.
• Strong understanding of food safety, hygiene, and HACCP principles.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• A positive attitude, strong work ethic, and ability to work as part of a team.
• Physically fit and comfortable performing repetitive manual tasks and standing for extended periods.
