PPA Cover Teacher (3 days per week)

Location: Leigh, Greater Manchester

Start Date: ASAP / September 2026

Salary: £150 - £220 per day (dependent on experience)

Contract Type: Part-time, temporary

Tradewind Recruitment is seeking a versatile and proactive PPA Teacher to work 3 days a week at a warm and welcoming primary school in Leigh. This part-time role offers the perfect balance for an experienced teacher looking for more flexibility, or an Early Career Teacher (ECT) wanting to gain diverse classroom experience without the heavy planning workload.

The school is well-regarded in the local area, boasting excellent pupil behaviour, a supportive senior leadership team, and well-resourced classrooms.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver high-quality, pre-planned lessons across EYFS, KS1, and KS2 (or tailored to your key stage preferences).

Maintain a consistent, positive, and productive learning environment in every classroom you cover.

Adapt quickly to different year groups and follow the school's behaviour and marking policies.

Provide feedback to class teachers to ensure continuity of learning.

Foster a love for learning while covering PPA time, leadership release, or subject coordinator leave.

What We Are Looking For:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.

A flexible, adaptable 'can-do' attitude with strong classroom management skills.

Good curriculum knowledge across both primary stages.

Reliability and the ability to seamlessly integrate into a busy school team.

An enhanced DBS on the update service (or the willingness to apply for one).
