Elevation Recruitment Group is working with a well-established manufacturing business to recruit an experienced Procurement Manager. This role will play a key part in leading procurement operations across the business, ensuring the effective sourcing of raw materials, components, and indirect services to support ongoing production and operational performance.
The successful candidate will be responsible for driving procurement strategy, developing supplier partnerships, and delivering cost-effective purchasing solutions while maintaining quality and supply continuity.
Key Responsibilities- Leading and developing the Procurement Team, ensuring clear objectives and development plans are in place.
- Managing the sourcing and procurement of raw materials, components, and indirect services.
- Building and maintaining strong supplier relationships while negotiating competitive pricing and commercial terms.
- Monitoring supplier performance to ensure quality, delivery, and service expectations are achieved.
- Developing procurement strategies aligned with operational and business objectives.
- Identifying and delivering cost-saving opportunities across the supply chain.
- Supporting inventory management and stock control to maintain production continuity.
- Ensuring effective use of ERP/MRP systems for purchasing and supply planning activities.
- Producing procurement reports covering spend analysis, supplier performance, and KPI tracking.
- Staying informed on market trends, pricing movements, and supply chain developments within the manufacturing sector.
- Previous experience in a senior procurement or purchasing role within manufacturing, engineering, or a related industry.
- Strong commercial awareness with excellent negotiation and supplier management skills.
- Experience managing procurement processes, supplier contracts, and stock control activities.
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a high attention to detail.
- Good IT skills, including ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office.
- CIPS qualification or equivalent would be advantageous.
- Full UK driving licence required.
