Job Title: Production Operative

Location: Chesterfield

Inspire Resourcing are recruiting a Production Operative on behalf of our Chesterfield-based client. This is a permanent role for someone with a career focused individual. 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

• Work as a supportive and active team member within the department

• Set up, operate and maintain production machines (where trained and authorised)

• Carry out production processes in line with standard operating procedures

• Measure products to ensure compliance with quality standards and safe operating tolerances

• Pack manufactured products ready for dispatch

• Comply with all Health & Safety policies, risk assessments and safe systems of work at all times, including correct use of PPE

• Immediately report hazards, near misses, incidents or unsafe conditions in line with company procedures

• Stop work where there is a genuine safety concern and escalate appropriately

• Carry out basic fault finding on machines and either rectify or report issues as required

• Assist with end-of-shift cleaning and housekeeping duties to 5S standards

• Actively contribute to continuous improvement and lean activities to support operational efficiency and safety

• Work towards and maintain all quality accreditations, reporting any non-compliance or irregularities to the line manager

• Assist in the review and update of work instructions and procedures

• Undertake training and, where competent and authorised, support the training and mentoring of new or existing staff

• Contribute positively to the appraisal process and follow up on agreed actions

FLT Counter balance licence is an advantage

Location - Chesterfield / Sheffield / Barlborough / Staveley /  Sheepbridge / Dronfield all commutable
