Production Operative

We are looking for a reliable and motivated Production Operative to join a growing manufacturing team in Hedge End. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established business offering full training, a supportive working environment and the potential for a permanent position.

Working within a clean and organised production facility, you will be responsible for assembling high-quality products to detailed specifications while contributing to a team focused on quality, efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Whether you already have manufacturing experience or are looking to build on your existing skills, this role offers structured training and long-term opportunities for the right person.

Key Responsibilities

• Assemble products in line with detailed work instructions and quality standards.
• Complete production records and documentation accurately.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications and delivery requirements.
• Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment.
• Support different production areas as required.
• Follow company procedures and recognised industry standards.

About You

• Previous manufacturing, assembly or production experience is beneficial.
• Strong attention to detail and pride in producing quality work.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Able to follow instructions accurately and work to set processes.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to maintaining high standards.
• Good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.

Physical Requirements

• Able to undertake manual handling tasks, including lifting items up to 20kg.
• Comfortable carrying out repetitive assembly work.
• Able to access materials stored at height using appropriate equipment where required.

Location: Hedge End, Southampton

Salary: £12.82 per hour

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Shift Pattern:

• Monday to Thursday: 6:30am–3:00pm or 7:30am–4:00pm
• Friday: Early finish at 12:00pm
