Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Operative to join a leading chemical manufacturing company based in Basingstoke, this is a full-time permanent position.
Responsibilities as a Production Operative:
- Handling of hazardous chemicals.
- Carrying out chemical reactions and processes.
- Recording of quantities used in processes.
- Carrying out simple in production analytical testing.
- Regular cleaning and housekeeping of plant equipment and general factory area.
- Movement of chemicals using FLT.
- Packing chemicals both solutions and powders.
- Operating chemical plant.
- Carrying out simple day to day maintenance of chemical plant
Requirements:
- Previous background within Production
- Forklift Counterbalance experience
- Team player
- Basic numeracy skills
- Physical fit as this role is physically demanding
- Comfortable wearing protective clothing and breathing masks for long periods of time
The Role:
- Rotating Weekly shift
- 1st Week = Monday – Friday, 6am – 2pm with a 1pm finish on Fridays
- 2nd Week = Monday – Thursday, 1pm – 9pm, Friday 12pm – 7pm
- £27,000 salary plus a £170 a month shift allowance
