We are currently recruiting for a Production Operative to join a well-established and successful wood products manufacturer based near Upton-upon-Severn. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing business with a strong reputation for quality and a loyal customer base.
The Role Working within a busy manufacturing environment, you will be involved in the production of high-quality wood products, operating a variety of machinery and hand tools while ensuring products are manufactured to specification.
Key Responsibilities
- Operating woodworking machinery, tools and production equipment safely and efficiently
- Processing and manufacturing a range of wood products and components
- Assembling products using a variety of fixing methods, including mechanical fixings, joint assembly and adhesives
- Measuring, checking and maintaining product quality standards
- Handling raw materials and finished goods as required
- Maintaining a clean, organised and safe working environment
- Supporting general production and manufacturing operations across the site
Requirements
- Previous experience working in a production or manufacturing environment is essential
- Experience within the woodworking, timber or furniture manufacturing industry would be advantageous
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Good attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Positive attitude with a reliable and committed approach to work
- Flexible to work overtime when required to meet business demands
