Production Operative - Rotating Shifts

Location: Dukinfield

Our client, a long‑established manufacturer based in Dukinfield, is looking to recruit a Production Operative to join their team on a temporary to permanent basis, with an immediate start available.

This is a hands‑on role working within a busy factory environment, involving machine operation and general production duties.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Operating production machinery, including mills, Barwell mixers and slitting machines
• Carrying out general factory and production operations
• Mixing and blending materials in line with production requirements
• Reading and following job instructions to ensure products meet quality and customer standards
• Cleaning tools, machinery and work areas, and maintaining tool boards
• Working safely at all times and reporting any unsafe conditions or faults to supervisors
• Using company equipment and materials responsibly
• Working to production targets set by the supervisor
• Maintaining high quality standards and minimising waste
• Keeping the workstation and surrounding area clean and organised

Shift Pattern - Rotating:

Week 1:

• Monday to Thursday: 05:45 - 14:00
• Friday: 05:45 - 12:00
• 39.25 hours per week

Week 2:

• Monday to Thursday: 13:45 - 22:00
• Friday: 11:45 - 18:00
• 39.25 hours per week

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand for long periods during the shift
• Use of stairs to access work areas when required
• Good balance and awareness when working around machinery, conveyors and forklifts
• Ability to bend, stoop, twist and reach as part of daily duties
• Capable of lifting up to 25kg when required
• Good hand‑eye coordination
