A well-established manufacturing business is seeking a Production / Manufacturing Quality Control Inspector to join their growing team. This is a hands-on, shop-floor based role working within a fast-paced production environment, ensuring products meet strict quality, safety, and specification standards before dispatch.
You will be working closely with the Health & Safety and Quality Manager, supporting day-to-day quality assurance activity across the production lines. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys being out in the factory environment rather than office-based QA work.
The Role
As a QC Inspector, you will be responsible for monitoring product quality throughout the manufacturing process, carrying out inspections, and ensuring all units meet required standards before leaving site.
Key responsibilities include:
- Inspecting manufactured units on the production line for quality, accuracy, and finish
- Carrying out functional checks and basic testing of products
- Identifying defects, non-conformances, and raising issues for corrective action
- Recording inspection results and maintaining accurate quality documentation
- Working closely with production teams to resolve quality issues in real time
- Supporting continuous improvement activities across the shop floor
- Ensuring compliance with internal quality procedures and safety standards
- Escalating serious quality concerns to the Quality / H&S Manager
- Supporting general manufacturing quality control processes as required
The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing, production, or engineering environment and a strong eye for detail.
You will bring:
- Previous experience in QC, inspection, production, or manufacturing environments
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot defects or inconsistencies
- A practical, hands-on approach to work on the shop floor
- Good communication skills when working with production teams
- Ability to follow processes and maintain accurate records
- Understanding of quality standards within a manufacturing setting
- A proactive attitude with confidence to raise issues when needed
- Monday to Friday
- Afternoon / evening shift (12:00–20:00 or 13:00–21:00)
- Full-time, permanent role
This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing manufacturing business where quality is a key focus. You’ll be directly involved in ensuring product standards are met and will play a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction and reducing defects within production.
Long-term development opportunities are available for the right person within quality or production management pathways.
