Metal Fabricator

SourceCo Recruitment are currently recruiting an experienced Metal Fabricator for a well-known client based in Bromsgrove on a permanent basis.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in fabrication and MIG welding, with the ability to work from technical drawings and produce high-quality components. You will be confident working with aluminium and mild steel, using a range of hand and power tools, and have a strong understanding of basic engineering processes.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Friday 7:30am – 4:00pm
• OT Available

Salary:

• £31,200 per annum + OT

Key Responsibilities:

• Fabricate aluminium and mild steel components from technical drawings
• Carry out MIG welding to a high standard
• Cut, fold, and bend sheet metal in line with design specifications
• Measure and shape materials using hand and power tools
• Perform basic engineering tasks including drilling, tapping, threading, and countersinking
• Work collaboratively within a team to meet production deadlines

Key Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Fabricator
• Strong MIG welding experience working with Aluminium and Steel
• Ability to read and work from technical drawings
• Skilled in the use of hand tools and power tools
• Good numerical skills for accurate measuring and calculations
• Strong communication skills and team-focused attitude
