Our client, a leading provider of facilities services in the UK, is seeking a Project Manager to take responsibility for the successful planning, execution, monitoring, and completion of defined projects.
Job Overview
Operating within the organisation’s established project framework, this role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within scope and budget, and to agreed quality standards. The Project Manager will work closely with delivery teams, business units, and clients to meet stakeholder expectations and achieve high‑quality outcomes.
The role also plays a key part in driving structured change across the business, supporting the introduction of new processes, standards, and operating models aligned to organisational strategy. A delivery‑focused approach and strong stakeholder engagement are essential to success in this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage all phases of the project lifecycle from initiation through to closure, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, time, cost, and quality.
- Facilitate the introduction of end‑to‑end processes, standards, and policies in line with business strategy and agreed scope.
- Support the development and implementation of new operating models and appropriate technology solutions.
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans, milestones, and resource schedules across delivery teams.
- Proactively identify, manage, and mitigate project risks and issues, maintaining accurate RAID logs and project documentation.
- Track project costs and support reporting on budget performance, variance, and forecasts.
- Plan and maintain clear, regular communication with stakeholders, managing expectations and reporting progress.
- Ensure project outputs meet required quality standards and contribute to continuous improvement within the PMO.
Person Specification
- Proven experience in end‑to‑end delivery of business projects.
- Familiarity with structured project management methodologies (e.g. Agile, PRINCE2).
- Experience using business improvement tools.
- Strong organisational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Detail‑oriented and delivery‑focused approach.
- Self‑starter with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Confident communicator and effective team collaborator.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
