Purchasing Executive

Role Purpose

To support the procurement of materials and services, ensuring goods are purchased cost-effectively, delivered on time, and accurately managed within company systems to support operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source and procure materials, components, and services from approved suppliers.
  • Raise, manage, and track purchase orders to ensure timely delivery.
  • Monitor supplier performance, lead times, and delivery schedules, resolving issues where required.
  • Maintain accurate purchasing, pricing, and supplier data within the ERP system.
  • Support stock control activities to ensure material availability whilst minimising excess inventory.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within a purchasing, procurement, or supply chain role.
  • Strong organisational skills with excellent attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and supplier relationship management skills.
  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Manufacturing or engineering industry experience would be advantageous.
