Quality Inspector

Aldridge | Permanent | Up to £34,000 per annum | 39 Hours per Week | Early Finish Every Friday

Our client, a well-established and growing engineering business based in Aldridge, is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join their team on a permanent basis.

Operating within the aerospace tooling sector, this is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused individual who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and enjoys working with precision-engineered components and small batch production.

• Carrying out goods inward inspections on components received from the supply chain.
• Supporting shop floor inspection activities, including first-off inspections and in-process checks.
• Reading and interpreting mechanical engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conducting inspections using conventional measuring equipment including micrometres, verniers, height gauges and other precision instruments.
• Performing CMM inspections and producing accurate inspection reports.
• Ensuring all products meet customer and company quality standards.
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives within the quality function.

• Engineering background, ideally apprenticeship trained.
• Previous experience within a manufacturing or precision engineering environment.
• Ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings.
• Experience with conventional inspection equipment such as micrometres, verniers and height gauges.
• CMM inspection experience is essential.
• Experience using QCT 3D PRO64 software would be highly advantageous.
• Knowledge of Renishaw PH10M probe head with TP20 module is desirable.
• Comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with small batch production.
• Aerospace, tooling, precision engineering or similar industry experience would be beneficial.
