Elevation Recruitment Group are supporting a well-established, multi-site manufacturing organisation in the search for a Quality Manager near Scunthorpe. This is a key leadership role responsible for ensuring the effectiveness, compliance, and continuous improvement of the site Quality Management System.

The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving a proactive quality culture, ensuring robust systems are in place to prevent defects, manage risk, and maintain customer confidence. The business are looking for a leader with strong people management skills as there will be a team reporting in. 

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the Quality Management System in line with recognised international standards
  • Develop and manage the internal audit programme
  • Lead site preparation for external audits and ensure timely closure of any findings
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant quality standards and internal procedures
  • Oversee calibration and control of inspection and measurement equipment
  • Manage customer complaints and non-conformance processes
  • Lead root cause analysis and ensure effective, sustainable corrective actions
  • Drive a preventative approach to quality, reducing repeat issues
  • Ensure process documentation (e.g. process flows, risk assessments, control plans) remains accurate and up to date
  • Support cross-functional teams in strengthening process capability and risk mitigation
  • Promote the use of data-driven tools and statistical techniques to improve performance
  • Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related matters with customers and suppliers
  • Support supplier performance improvement and corrective action activities
  • Provide quality input into new product introduction and change management processes
  • Lead, develop, and performance manage the quality team
  • Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and collaboration
  • Identify and support development opportunities within the team
Skills & Experience Required
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 and experience in highly regulated industries 
  • Experience with core quality tools (e.g. APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, 8D)
  • Proven experience in leading audits (internal and external)
  • Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capability
  • Experience in a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Demonstrated leadership and team management experience
  • Ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders
