Quality Team Leader Electronics

Collide Technical is working with a client who is seeking an experienced and proactive Quality Team Leader with experience in PCB and Cable assembly to join their team in Portsmouth. This is an excellent opportunity for a quality-focused professional with strong leadership skills to oversee departmental operations and ensure high standards are consistently met.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 7:30am – 4:00pm
• Friday: 7:30am – 1:00pm
• Additional hours may be required as needed

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and support department staff on a day-to-day basis
• Plan and manage departmental workload effectively
• Control and oversee calibration of equipment
• Complete First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs) and submit to customers
• Act as a key point of contact for customer queries (technical and build-related)
• Support and participate in customer audits
• Maintain and control customer specification registers
• Conduct process inspections including crimps and soldering
• Perform continuity testing where required

Skills & Experience

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar quality or manufacturing role (preferred)
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience with measuring tools and inspection processes
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Computer literate
• Familiarity with IPC-620 standards (advantageous)

Additional Information

There will be a requirement to carry out testing using Cirrus and Analyzer equipment. Previous testing experience is desirable, however full training can be provided.
