The OpportunityThis is a key role within a highly collaborative supply chain function, where you’ll be responsible for aligning demand, supply, and production strategies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You’ll play a central part in ensuring materials flow efficiently through the business while balancing service levels, cost, and working capital.
You’ll work cross-functionally with procurement, production, logistics, and commercial teams, acting as a critical link in delivering operational performance and supporting strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities Supply & Demand Planning-
Support end-to-end supply planning by aligning forecasts with production and procurement strategies

Convert sales forecasts into actionable supply plans, considering capacity, lead times, and inventory policies

Contribute to Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) cycles

Manage inventory levels to balance availability and working capital efficiency

Review MRP outputs and ensure timely execution of supply plans

Work closely with procurement to enhance supplier performance and resilience

Support supplier KPI tracking (delivery, quality, responsiveness)

Assist in sourcing initiatives and cost reduction programmes
-
Contribute to supplier negotiations around pricing, lead times, and service levels
-
Identify and mitigate supply risks proactively
-
Support escalation of critical shortages to minimise production disruption
-
Collaborate with production planning to maintain schedule adherence
-
Assist in logistics optimisation and shipment consolidation
-
Maintain ERP/MRP data integrity (lead times, MOQ, safety stock, etc.)

Analyse supply chain KPIs and support continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / 5S)

Identify opportunities to improve planning tools and processes
-
Contribute to digital transformation and optimisation projects

Degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or similar
-
CIPS (or working towards) preferred
-
Proven experience in supply chain / purchasing within a manufacturing environment

Experience working with international suppliers

Strong ERP/MRP systems knowledge

Strong communication and negotiation abilities

Highly organised with excellent attention to detail

Comfortable working in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
