Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor | Main Contractor | Yorkshire | £50k - £60k + Package

We’re currently working with a growing construction contractor to recruit a Quantity Surveyor due to continued growth and an increasing pipeline of secured work across Yorkshire and the surrounding regions.

The business delivers a wide range of projects across commercial, industrial, healthcare, education, civils and refurbishment sectors, and they’re looking for someone who can commercially support projects from pre-construction through to final account.

This role would suit an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to join a growing contractor where they can take real ownership of projects and play a key part in the continued expansion of the business.

What You’ll Be Doing;

• Managing the commercial aspects of projects from procurement through to final account
• Preparing and managing subcontractor packages and valuations
• Producing cost reports and monitoring project performance
• Managing variations and change control
• Supporting procurement and supply chain management
• Working closely with operational and delivery teams
• Liaising with clients, subcontractors and consultants
• Assisting with forecasting and budgeting across projects

What You Will Need;

• Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within a main contracting environment
• Experience working across construction, refurbishment or civil engineering projects
• Good commercial awareness and contractual understanding
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Relevant construction qualification preferred
