Salary: £42,217 (plus car allowance of £2,750) per year
Contract: Permanent, full time
Your week: 36.25 hours Monday to Friday 9am to 5.15pm
Location: Field-based across Amplius’ Northeast region, predominantly covering the Lincolnshire area.
Join Amplius as a Retrofit & Asset Surveyor and play a key role in improving the quality, safety and energy efficiency of our homes. Working closely with residents and colleagues across Asset Investment, Compliance and Sustainability, you'll provide vital data that supports investment planning, compliance standards and our journey towards net zero.
Snapshot of your role
- Carry out stock condition surveys across residential properties, accurately capturing condition data, asset attributes, remaining life information, photographs and hazards.
- Complete retrofit assessments in line with PAS 2035 requirements, gathering energy performance and building fabric data to inform retrofit recommendations and cost estimates.
- Identify, report and escalate building defects, damp and mould issues, and HHSRS Category 1 hazards in line with organisational procedures.
- Undertake mid- and post-works inspections on planned investment programmes, providing feedback on completed works to support quality assurance and contractor performance management.
- Maintain accurate, auditable survey records and ensure data is processed promptly and correctly within asset management systems.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of survey processes, data collection methods and the use of digital surveying tools and equipment.
- Engage with residents during visits, explaining survey activities, responding to queries and working with colleagues to support investment planning, retrofit projects and funding applications.
What we’re looking for
- HNC qualification (or equivalent) in a building or surveying discipline.
- Experience carrying out stock condition surveys within residential properties.
- Experience inspecting completed maintenance or investment works.
- Strong understanding of the Decent Homes Standard, HHSRS and Awaab’s Law.
- Experience engaging directly with residents and delivering excellent customer service during property inspections.
- Strong technical surveying and diagnostic skills, with the ability to identify defects and assess property condition accurately.
- Excellent attention to detail and the ability to record accurate, high-quality data to required standards.
- Ability to manage your own workload, travel independently and work collaboratively with colleagues across multiple teams.
DBS clearance, a full UK driving licence, access to your own vehicle and willingness to travel are all essential requirements for this role.
