We are recruiting for an experienced Road Freight Operations Manager to join a successful global company with sites across the world.

The Role
As Road Freight Operations Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day running of the road freight operation, ensuring high levels of service, efficiency, compliance, and profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the daily road freight operation
- Leading, supporting, and developing the operations team
- Ensuring shipments are planned and delivered efficiently
- Monitoring service levels, costs, and operational performance
- Working closely with customers, suppliers, carriers, and internal teams
- Handling escalations and resolving operational issues
- Ensuring compliance with company procedures and industry regulations
- Driving process improvements across the department
- Supporting senior management with reporting and operational strategy
Requirements
- Previous experience in road freight operations
- Experience managing or supervising a freight operations team
- Strong knowledge of UK and European road freight
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Commercially aware with strong problem-solving ability
- Confident working in a fast-paced logistics environment
- Strong customer service and supplier management skills
