Pay: £90 – £110 per day

Supply Desk is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Secondary Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and inclusive secondary school in Chesham from September 2026. This is an excellent opportunity to work closely with students during a crucial stage of their education, helping them build confidence, resilience, and independence.
About the Role
As a Secondary Teaching Assistant, you’ll support teaching and learning across KS3 and KS4, working with individuals and small groups of students to help them reach their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing targeted classroom support to students, including those with SEN or additional learning needs
- Assisting teachers with the delivery of engaging, structured lessons
- Supporting students’ behaviour, emotional regulation, and engagement
- Encouraging positive attitudes to learning and promoting independence
- Helping maintain a safe, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment
- Building positive, professional relationships with students and staff
Who This Role Is Perfect For
You’ll be well suited to this role if you:
- Have experience (or a strong interest) in working with secondary-aged students
- Are patient, approachable, and confident working with teenagers
- Have strong communication and teamwork skills
- Are comfortable supporting students with SEN, ASD, ADHD, or behavioural needs
- Demonstrate adaptability, initiative, and resilience in a classroom setting
- Are committed to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
