Foreman – Major Renewable Infrastructure Project

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Foreman to join a leading international engineering and infrastructure contractor delivering a major renewable energy and civil engineering project in the Scottish Highlands.

This nationally significant infrastructure scheme forms part of a long-term UK energy investment programme supporting the resilience of the UK electricity network and includes complex tunnelling, heavy civils, concrete structures, infrastructure, and associated enabling works.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supervising site operations, coordinating site teams, and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with programme and quality requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
• Supervise and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and daily construction activities
• Manage labour, plant, materials, and site resources efficiently
• Support programme delivery and monitor production targets
• Lead toolbox talks, task briefings, and safe systems of work
• Ensure works are delivered in accordance with specifications, method statements, and risk assessments
• Carry out site inspections and support quality assurance activities
• Monitor and promote high standards of health, safety, environmental, and quality compliance
• Support project reporting, site administration, and document control processes
• Assist with project planning, work programmes, and construction coordination
• Work collaboratively with project teams, suppliers, and client representatives

Project Scope Includes:
• Renewable energy infrastructure
• Major civil engineering works
• Tunnelling and underground works
• Structural concrete and infrastructure packages
• Long-term engineering and construction programme

Candidate Requirements:
• Previous experience working as a Foreman or General Foreman within civil engineering or infrastructure projects
• Strong understanding of site operations, construction delivery, and subcontractor coordination
• Experience managing labour, plant, and site resources within live construction environments
• Good understanding of HSEQ and CDM requirements
• Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills
• CSCS and relevant supervisory qualifications preferred
• Ability to work within a fast-paced and technically complex project environment

The project is based near Inverness, Scotland. Accommodation and travel support can be provided for candidates relocating or travelling to site.
