Job Title: Semi-Skilled Mechanic (HGVs & Vans)

Our client, a well-established company in the transport and logistics industry, is looking to recruit a semi-skilled mechanic to assist in the maintenance and repair of their fleet of HGVs and vans.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with basic mechanical experience who is looking to grow their skills in a busy workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with routine servicing and maintenance of HGVs and vans

• Support senior mechanics with repairs and fault-finding

• Carry out basic mechanical and workshop tasks under supervision

• Maintain tools and workshop cleanliness

• Follow all health and safety procedures

Requirements:

• Some previous experience in a mechanical or workshop setting

• Basic understanding of vehicle maintenance (experience with commercial vehicles is an advantage)

• Willingness to learn and take direction

• Reliable, punctual, and able to work well within a team

• Full UK driving licence preferred but not essential
