Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver adapted curriculum lessons across various Key Stages
  • Adapt teaching strategies to meet diverse learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with support staff, therapists, and families.
  • Monitor and assess student progress.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment.
  • Support pupils' social, emotional, and academic development.

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
  • Understanding of SEND speicific teaching strategies such as TEACCH, SCERTS, Zones of Regulation
  • Experience teaching pupils with ASD, SLD, PMLD or SEMH.
  • Understanding of Total Communication - PECS, Visuals, Makaton or AAC use.
  • Excellent behaviour management skills.
  • Commitment to inclusive education.
