A highly inclusive and welcoming primary school in Wandsworth is seeking an experienced and compassionate Inclusion Base Teacher to join their specialist SEMH provision from September.
This is a unique opportunity to work within a dedicated Inclusion Base supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs. The role would suit a teacher who is passionate about inclusive education, trauma-informed practice, and helping children overcome barriers to learning through positive relationships and tailored support.
The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering high-quality teaching within the specialist provision, supporting pupils' academic progress alongside their emotional regulation, wellbeing, and successful integration into mainstream learning where appropriate.

The Role Will Involve:
- Teaching pupils with SEMH needs within the Inclusion Base
- Delivering adaptive and engaging lessons tailored to individual needs
- Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies
- Working closely with support staff, families, and external professionals
- Implementing trauma-informed and relational approaches to learning
- Supporting pupils' reintegration into mainstream classes where appropriate
- Contributing to the ongoing development of the specialist provision
The Ideal Candidate Will:
- Hold QTS and have substantial experience supporting pupils with SEMH needs
- Have experience working within specialist provisions, nurture groups, ARPs, SEMH settings, or inclusive mainstream schools
- Demonstrate a strong understanding of trauma-informed, attachment-aware, and nurture-based practice
- Be confident working alongside multi-agency professionals and families
- Be resilient, reflective, and committed to inclusive education
- Have excellent behaviour management and relationship-building skills
