Salary: £170 - £250 per day

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a Good OFSTED-rated SEMH school in Bury, seeking to appoint a dedicated SEMH Teacher. The school provides a supportive and nurturing environment for pupils, with a caring staff team committed to helping young people develop confidence, resilience and the skills needed to achieve their potential.

The school is looking to take on a SEMH Teacher on a long-term basis from September. The successful SEMH Teacher will be teaching students across Key Stage 3 / KS3 and Key Stage 4 / KS4, delivering engaging lessons while supporting pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs. The role requires strong behaviour management skills and experience working with children and young people who display challenging behaviour.

The successful SEMH Teacher will have:

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)

• Experience teaching within a UK school setting

• Experience working with children and young people with SEMH needs

• Proven experience supporting pupils who display challenging behaviour

• Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills

• A patient, resilient and adaptable approach to teaching
