Day Rate: £110 - 120
Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)
Start Date: 01/09/2026
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
Are you passionate about supporting children with additional needs? We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join a thriving primary school's specialist SEN provision in Birmingham from September 2026.
This rewarding role involves supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including Autism, Speech, Language and Communication Needs, Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, and those accessing provision through Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs).
Responsibilities:
- Support pupils within a specialist SEN provision setting.
- Deliver targeted interventions and personalised learning activities.
- Assist with EHCP targets and learning outcomes.
- Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
- Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals
- Build positive relationships with pupils and families.
What We're Looking For:
- Experience supporting children with SEN in a school or similar setting.
- Understanding of Autism, SLCN and SEMH needs.
- A patient, nurturing and proactive approach.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Commitment to helping every child achieve their potential.
