Sessions take place during school hours and are delivered either in the pupil's home or within suitable community settings.

  • Support pupils academically, socially, and emotionally
  • Build positive and trusting relationships with young people
  • Help students develop confidence, resilience, and engagement in learning
  • Adapt teaching methods and resources to meet individual needs
  • Provide support in core subjects, including English and Maths
  • Encourage structure, routine, and positive learning habits

Why Join Quantum Scholars?

  • Flexible part-time opportunities to fit around your availability
  • Meaningful work where you can see the impact of your support firsthand
  • The chance to work outside of a traditional classroom setting
  • Varied and rewarding assignments across Wokingham and Berkshire
  • Greater flexibility and autonomy than many school-based roles

What We're Looking For

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND and additional needs
  • Strong behaviour management and relationship-building skills
  • A patient, resilient, and adaptable approach
  • Previous experience in tutoring, teaching, mentoring, youth work, intervention, or pastoral support
  • An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
  • Full Right to Work in the UK
  • Ability to travel to in-person sessions across Wokingham and surrounding areas

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and formal teaching qualifications are desirable but not essential. A degree in a relevant subject area would be advantageous.
