We are seeking an enthusiastic, committed, and highly organised SENCo and Assistant SENCo to join our thriving all-boys secondary school in the B8 area of Birmingham. The Role

SENCo Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND)
• Oversee EHCPs, intervention programmes, and statutory processes
• Work closely with teaching staff, external agencies, and parents/carers
• Support staff in delivering high-quality inclusive teaching strategies
• Ensure compliance with SEND legislation and school policies
• Track progress and outcomes for SEND students across the school

Assistant SENCo Responsibilities:

• Support the SENCo in the day-to-day coordination of SEND provision
• Assist with interventions, assessments, and student reviews
• Liaise with teachers, parents, and support staff
• Help maintain accurate SEND records and documentation
• Deliver targeted support to students where required
• Contribute to inclusive classroom practices across departments

We Are Looking For:

• Qualified teachers with a passion for inclusive education
• Experience working with SEND students in a secondary school setting
• Strong communication and organisational skills
• A proactive, compassionate, and resilient approach
• NASENCo qualification (essential/desirable for SENCo role depending on experience)
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting student wellbeing
