Spencer Clarke Group are working in partnership with a specialist SEND provision in Manchester to recruit a number of SEND Teachers for September 2026.

The school supports pupils with a wide range of complex needs, including severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple learning difficulties, autism, communication needs and additional medical or physical needs.

Due to continued demand across the school, there are several teaching opportunities available across different areas, including:

  • Complex Needs Department

  • Main School Provision

  • PMLD Classes

  • Sixth Form Hub

  • Key Stage 3, Key Stage 4 and Post-16 pathways

This is a fantastic opportunity for experienced SEND Teachers, or mainstream teachers with a genuine passion for moving into specialist education, to join a supportive and well-established school environment.

The role will involve:

  • Planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons based on individual pupil needs

  • Supporting pupils with complex SEND, communication needs and sensory needs

  • Working closely with teaching assistants, therapists, pastoral teams and senior leaders

  • Creating a safe, nurturing and structured classroom environment

  • Using EHCP outcomes to support pupil progress

  • Building positive relationships with pupils, families and wider professionals

  • Contributing to a strong, child-centred team culture across the school

The ideal candidate will have:

  • QTS or equivalent teaching qualification

  • Experience working with pupils with SEND, complex needs, autism, PMLD or SEMH

  • A calm, patient and nurturing approach

  • Strong behaviour management and communication skills

  • The ability to adapt lessons to meet a wide range of learning needs

  • A genuine passion for supporting pupils with additional needs

  • A commitment to safeguarding and inclusive education

Experience in specialist schools, resource bases, alternative provision, mainstream SEND departments or post-16 SEND settings would be highly beneficial.
