Senior Architect

Location: Cardiff

Salary: £40,000 - £48,000

An established architectural practice is seeking a Senior Architect with strong post-qualification experience to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Architect to take ownership of projects across a diverse portfolio, leading schemes from concept through to completion. The successful candidate will play a key role in design development, project coordination, and client management, while working closely with consultants, contractors, and internal teams to deliver high-quality architectural solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

* Leading projects through all RIBA stages from concept design to completion
* Developing creative, practical, and technically robust design solutions
* Managing project programmes, budgets, and resources to ensure successful delivery
* Coordinating with clients, consultants, contractors, and stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle
* Preparing and reviewing design proposals, planning applications, and technical information
* Leading project meetings and presenting designs to clients and planning authorities
* Mentoring and supporting junior Architects and Architectural Assistants within the studio
* Ensuring projects comply with current Building Regulations, planning requirements, and industry standards

Key Requirements:

* ARB-registered Architect with significant post-qualification experience within a UK practice
* Proven experience leading projects and managing multidisciplinary teams
* Strong design, technical, and project management skills
* Proficiency in Revit and experience producing high-quality design and technical information
* Comprehensive understanding of UK Building Regulations, planning policy, and construction methods
* Experience delivering projects through all RIBA work stages
* Excellent communication, organisational, and client-facing skills
* A collaborative approach and the ability to work effectively within a team environment
* Previous experience mentoring or managing junior team members would be advantageous
