This role is ideal for a commercially minded procurement professional with strong sourcing, negotiation, and supplier management experience who thrives in a dynamic environment. You will take ownership of key product categories, driving strategic sourcing initiatives, supplier performance, cost optimisation, and supply continuity across the business.

- Salary: £38,000 - £42,000 depending on experience.

Strategic Procurement & Supplier Management
- Lead sourcing and procurement activities across key product categories
- Develop and implement category strategies focused on cost, quality, service, and supply continuity
- Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to ensure high performance and reliable supply
- Negotiate pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements to achieve best value and mitigate risk
- Manage supplier performance against agreed KPIs and SLAs
- Identify and onboard new suppliers in line with compliance and sustainability requirements
- Support procurement planning and strategic initiatives across the wider business
- Deliver measurable cost savings and cost avoidance initiatives
- Monitor market trends, commodity pricing, and supply risks to inform purchasing decisions
- Ensure total cost of ownership principles are applied across procurement activities
- Lead tender processes, supplier selection, and new product sourcing projects
- Support budgeting and forecasting through accurate procurement reporting and analysis
- Conduct benchmarking exercises to maintain market competitiveness
- Work closely with planning and inventory teams to optimise stock levels and product availability
- Align procurement plans with demand forecasts and operational requirements
- Proactively manage supply risks including shortages, delays, and supplier constraints
- Support resolution of supply chain issues to minimise operational disruption
- Maintain accurate supplier, pricing, and purchasing data within ERP/MRP systems
- Track and report on procurement KPIs including:
- Cost savings and cost avoidance
- Supplier OTIF performance
- Lead times and service levels
- Purchase price variance
- Contract compliance
- Produce clear and actionable reports for senior stakeholders
- Support continuous improvement of procurement systems and processes
- Partner with Supply Chain, Product Development, Customer Services, Finance, and Operations teams
- Support new product introductions and wider business initiatives
- Contribute to a collaborative culture focused on continuous improvement and operational excellence
- Proven experience within procurement, sourcing, category management, or purchasing
- Strong supplier negotiation and relationship management skills
- Experience negotiating contracts and managing supplier performance
- Understanding of wider supply chain operations including logistics, inventory, and demand planning
- Strong analytical and numerical skills with excellent attention to detail
- Experience using ERP/MRP systems
- Advanced Excel skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
